A quick note about the BEES. We are Just into the Hives the last couple of days. The Bees are thriving and we see evidence of new bees. We are feeding them, and Medication is given for mites. Mites are known to be the number one threat of Bee Life.

If you look at general prices of Honey in the stores - specialty raw honey ... Mike's prices are a dollar or two less. Due to Bee loss and higher prices on plastic containers/ labelling/feed/medicines/gas in 2022-2023 we have had to increase the price on the honey. IF YOU CHECK OUT THE HONEY PRICES IN SOUTH HILL FOODS MOOSE JAW ... THEY ARE ALMOST DOUBLE!

This Honey is directly from the Bee Hive.
It is strained and then poured, Safety SEALED with heat shrink tape, and into the container right away after it is extracted!
Dandelion/Wildflower Honey stays soft for a period of time and then will harden , IF it doesn't crystallize, it is NOT RAW HONEY.
The amber coloured plastic jars show the "Wild Flower Honey" Honey will harden with time. But due to the new extractor equipment ... it does whip the honey and tends to keep it softer.

For the hardened honey. Put the container into hot tap water and stir. By doing this, it will be soft enough to scoop up or spread This type of warming will not destroy its Raw medicinal properties.

DID YOU KNOW ... Honey HAS NO STALE DATE Honey is one of the very few foods that will self preserve. We store ours in a cool-room. Michael has read that honey has been found in the pyramids. The urned honey was tested by scientists and was found to remain completely preserved and eatable.

We use a refractor to determine water content .... ours in 2023 is 16 to 17 (less than 20 is the desired) 16 -16.5 is excellent!
